Blackbirds are common residents in Aviemore and surrounding Cairngorms National Park and can be spotted there year-round. They are famous for their orange beak and rapid hopping along the ground.
I never noticed you
at home
possibly because
I spent more time
being busy
in a city
but I noticed you
here
some time after I arrived
and felt homesick for the first time
and there you were
on the green grass
with your orange beak
in the middle of winter
they say you are a symbol
of change
and transformation
and you connect
the life and death
as some parts of me
changed and died
even without me noticing
