The speugs an’ the stuckies
The doo an’ the craw
A’ shout at their limit
Here comes oor maw.
She’s gote a wee baggie
Wi’ seeds an’ some fat.
Stey back you dumb blackie
Or she’ll throw ye her hat.
The speugs an’ the stuckies
Whit a racket they make
As they perch oan the branches
To see whit they’ll take.
She opens the baggie
An’ peers in aboot
She pits in her haun
Then taks it back oot.
Wi’ a flourish she casts
Her airm high an wide
An oot fly the seedies
In a circle they glide.
The tits an the blackies
The craw an the doo,
The speugs an’ the stuckies
They’ll soon be a’ foo.
